On Monday, Pope Francis delivered a special message on Christmas and he called for an end for the war in Gaza.

Pope Francis said in his Christmas message that children who are dying in wars are the "little Jesuses of today," asserting that the Israeli strikes are killing and harvesting more innocent souls.

Pope Francis called for an end to conflicts in Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, Lebanon, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He said: "How many innocents are being slaughtered in our world! In their mothers' wombs, in odysseys undertaken in desperation and in search of hope, in the lives of all those little ones whose childhood has been devastated by war. They are the little Jesuses of today."

He also referred to the latest massacre in Gaza that ended the lives of more than 78 persons.

The Catholic and Greek Orthodox churches are celebrating today with Christmas.
