On Wednesday, Pope Francis arrived in Singapore which is his the last stop of a four-nation Asia-Pacific trip.
The trip targets enhancing the position of the Catholic Church, especially in Asia.
The pope was welcomed and received by Singapore’s Minister for Culture, Community and Youth Edwin Tong, and Singapore’s non-resident ambassador to the Vatican Janet Ang.
Several saints and religious figures received the pope like Cardinal William Goh, Archbishop of Singapore and Archbishop Julian Leow of Kuala Lumpur.
Four children representing the primary cultures in Singapore performed a short welcoming for the pope and greeted him in their native languages in the airport.
Huge crowds also gathered in front of the airport to greet the pope.
