On Sunday, Pope Francis appeared for the first time in public since his hospitalization during the mass at St. Peter’s Square.
The Pope appeared in a wheelchair and greeted the crowds gathered, saying: “I wish everyone a blessed Sunday… Thank you very much.”
Pope Francis had been admitted to Gemelli Hospital in Rome on February 14 due to a respiratory tract infection.
The gradual recovery of Pope Francis continues, as he spends the necessary convalescence period at the Casa Santa Marta, according to the Vatican Press Office.
The Press Office indicated further slight improvements in his breathing, mobility, and speech.
Blood tests conducted in recent days revealed an improvement in infection markers, while medical, physical, and respiratory treatments continue.
