On Wednesday, Pope Francis was taken to a Roma hospital for medical examinations after suffering from cold, the Pope's office said.
The pope had some medical checks at the Tiber Island hospital after holding his Wednesday audience, and he returned to the Vatican.
The Pope didn't make a reading to the audience, delegating the task to an aide who told the audience that the Pope was not feeling well.
Pope Francis canceled all his audiences for Monday as a precautionary measure after having persistent, mild flu-like symptoms.
The Holy See Press Office said: "Mild flu-like symptoms persist. There is no fever. As a precaution, however, Pope Francis' audiences this morning are suspended."
Although the Pope canceled all his Saturday engagements for mild flu, he delivered his weekly Angelus address in St. Peter's Square on Sunday.
