The second round of the Presidential Elections in France has kicked off this morning as the polls were opened for voters, international media agencies reported on Sunday.

Voters should choose between the current President of the state Emmanuel Macron, and the representative of the National Rally, Marine Le Pen.

On Friday, both candidates wrapped up their voting campaigns nationwide by meeting voters and visiting some regions that supported their first-round victory.

Le Pen said: “We did an outreach campaign, a field campaign. I met tens of thousands of French people,” asserting: “I think we did a very good campaign.”

On the other hand, Macron said: “April 24 is a referendum on the future of France,” adding: “It’s a choice between leaving or not leaving Europe … a choice between turning the back on ecology or not, a choice between abandoning or not abandoning the secular republic.”

It is worthy to mention that the final polling averages revealed that Macron is 10 percentage points ahead his far-right openent.

Those indicators could mean that the current French President can win the elections, and stay in the office for another five-year-term.
