A CBS poll showed that more than half of American citizens support tightening laws regulating the sale of firearms in the United States of America (USA).
According to the poll, 54% of Americans want stricter gun laws, 30% said gun laws should remain the same, and 16% want gun laws to be less restrictive.
It is noteworthy that supporters of the US Democratic Party support stricter laws on this issue, while supporters of the Republican Party prefer to leave things as they are.
Survey results show that women are more willing to support stricter legislation.
The survey was conducted from 18 to 20 May.
2041 US citizens over the age of 18 participated in it.
