"Politico": Biden Administration Believes Netanyahu's Days as Politician May Be Numbered

The American newspaper "Politico" reported that US President Joe Biden discussed with his senior aides the possibility that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's days as a politician are numbered.

Two high-ranking officials in the US administration said in an interview with “Politico” that the issue of Netanyahu’s political fate was addressed in the recent meetings of the US administration that Biden attended, including the discussions that took place following his visit to Israel, during which he met with Netanyahu.

The two officials added that Biden suggested to Netanyahu that he should think about the lessons he would present to his successor as prime minister.

Two other officials confirmed that the American administration believes that Netanyahu has a limited time in his office, and they expected that Netanyahu will continue in his position for months or until the completion of the initial phase of the Israeli military operation in Gaza.

The American administration believes that Netanyahu's positions have become weaker due to the anger of Israeli society towards the failure of Israel's intelligence and security services to prevent the Hamas attack on October 7.
