Polish President Andrzej Duda and Canadian Prime Minister (PM) Justin Trudeau discussed the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and Euro-Atlantic security during their meeting in Warsaw on Monday.
Presidential aide Wojciech Kolarski was quoted by Polish Radio on Monday as saying that Ukraine's freedom and independence are in Poland's national interest.
He explained that Duda's position has not changed since he visited the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on February 23, 2022, with his Lithuanian counterpart, Gitanas Nauseda, to show that Ukraine is not alone.
For his part, Trudeau stressed his country's unwavering support for Ukraine as the war enters its third year, and its continued commitment to providing the military, financial, and humanitarian assistance that the country needs.
Canadian PM had arrived in the Polish capital Warsaw from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, where he attended ceremonies on Saturday marking the 2nd anniversary of the start of the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.
