A number of Lebanese security forces were injured on Saturday while chasing seven prisoners who escaped from a police station in the east of the country.
The official Lebanese National News Agency announced that 7 inmates, including a Syrian, a Lebanese and a Palestinian, had escaped from Dahr al-Baydar police station.
The agency indicated that a number of members of the security forces suffered "various injuries while chasing the escaped inmates in the woods near Dahr al-Baydar police station," adding that civil defense personnel are working to transfer them to hospitals for treatment.
The security forces arrested four prisoners out of 6 who had escaped from the police station, after they were chased in the nearby bushes, three Syrians and a Lebanese.
