Polestar company revealed a gorgeous sedan concept called the Precept that featured a stunning design along with an interior chock-full of sustainable material. But as with most concepts.
According to Thomas Ingenlath, Polestar CEO, the consumers want to see change from this industry and we are committed to reducing the environmental impact of our cars and our business. The aim has to be climate neutrality, even though I recognize that is a long-term goal.
The sedan will recognize the driver as they approach the car and automatically prepare their preferred apps and settings. The Google Assistant would recognize more languages, including local accents, and be capable of more natural conversations. Polestar also imagines video streaming becoming a more important component of the in-car experience – while parked or while charging, of course.
In contrast, Polestar declined to release relevant specifications such as price, battery size, range, and engine configuration.
On other hand, Tesla unveiled its Model S Plaid, the new highest performance version of its flagship sedan. The Model S Plaid first came to light last year when Tesla started testing early prototypes on a few racetracks around the world.
According to Tesla firm, The Model S with this more powerful “Plaid” powertrain won’t be available until late 2021. Tesla, however, has already opened up orders for the vehicle that starts just a skosh under $140,000.
Also, this new Plaid powertrain will have three motors, one more than the dual-motor system found in today’s Model S and X. The end result is a faster, longer range and more expensive version of the Model S. The powertrain produces 1,100 horsepower, achieves a top speed of 200 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in under 2 seconds.
