Poland announced plans to reduce the number of staff at its embassy in Lebanon due to escalating security concerns in the region.
Paweł Rónski, spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, made the announcement on Tuesday, citing the deteriorating security situation in the Middle East.
Speaking to Radio Poland, Rónski explained that the decision was made in response to rising tensions in the region.
Several employees from the Polish Embassy in Beirut will return to Poland in the coming days as part of the downsizing efforts.
Additionally, the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will assist Polish citizens currently in Lebanon who wish to return home, offering support for their safe evacuation.
