Poland reopened its border with Belarus in the early hours of 25 September, permitting vehicles to enter through the Brest crossing, BelTA news agency confirmed.
Footage released by the Belarusian agency showed transport moving towards Poland after border guards in Warsaw formally notified Minsk of the decision.
According to Belarus’ State Border Committee, all checkpoints resumed operations from Wednesday morning.
The border had been fully closed since 12 September, when Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced the suspension of passenger and freight traffic in response to joint Zapad 2025 military exercises conducted by Belarus and Russia.
The closure affected Terespol, the “Kukuryki-Kozlovichi” freight route, and three rail crossings linking the two nations.
