On Tuesday, Poland’s Border Guard Agency announced that the number of refugees fleeing Ukraine has increased to 8,841,000 since the beginning of the Russian military operation on February 24.
The agency added, that about 9,800 refugees arrived from Ukraine yesterday, Saturday, while about 7,200 refugees left for Ukraine, bringing the total returnees to more than 7 million people, according to Radio Poland.
Last March, Poland passed a bill that provides a support package for Ukrainian refugees fleeing their country, granting them legal residency, and guaranteeing them the right to access education, health care, and social services.
