Egypt's Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly announced that Thursday, October 21, 2021, will be a paid official leave for all public sector workers on the occasion of Al-Mawlid Al-Nabawi instead of Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Last week, Dar al-Iftaa announced on Wednesday that the Islamic month of Rabi’ al-Awwal will start on Friday, October 8.
In a statement, it also added that the Mawlid al-Nabawi ( Prophet Muhammad’s birthday) will take place on Tuesday, October 19.
It is worth mentioning that, Al-Mawlid Al Nabawi al-Sharif is the observance of the birthday of the Islamic prophet Mohammad which is commemorated in Rabi’ al-awwal, the third month in the Islamic calendar.
The Prophet’s birthday is a remarkable holiday widely celebrated across Egypt and the whole Islamic world.
