PM Invites Chinese President to Attend GEM's Opening

Chinese President Xi Jinping received Egyptian Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly today at the Guesthouse Palace in Tianjin city.

During the meeting, PM expressed Egypt’s anticipation of President Xi’s participation in the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, highlighting the importance of such a presence, especially as Egypt and China will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year.

Moreover, PM emphasized that China is a strategic partner on which Egypt can rely, voicing his aspiration to further enhance relations between the two countries across various fields, particularly in the economic domain.

For his part, Chinese President extended his gratitude to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and asked Prime Minister Madbouly to convey his greetings to him. 

He also congratulated President El-Sisi on the upcoming inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), affirming his readiness to visit Egypt at the earliest possible opportunity during his next tour of Africa. 

At the same time, President Xi expressed his eagerness to welcome President El-Sisi at the China–Arab Summit scheduled for next year.
