Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly, along with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director and the Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt, will hold a press conference on Sunday at the Cabinet headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. This event is part of the IMF Managing Director's visit to Egypt.
The IMF Managing Director previously stated that Egypt is bearing significant burdens due to conflicts in Gaza and Sudan, noting that the country currently hosts approximately 9 million people from nations experiencing conflicts in the Middle East.
Kristalina Georgieva, the IMF Managing Director, remarked that tensions in the Middle East have impacted the Egyptian economy, with Egypt losing 70% of its Suez Canal revenue due to the Gaza conflict.
