Egypt’s Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly said the state is keen to promote Egyptian industry and localize key productive sectors in partnership with the private sector,  as part of plans to position Egypt as a regional industrial hub.

Madbouly's remarks came at the the integration Sokhna industrial zone, affiliated with the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone), where he is inaugurating several new industrial projects.

The integration featured apperances by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Eissa, Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade Mohamed Farid, Minister of Planning and Economic Development Ahmed Rostom,  Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem and Suez Governor Hany Rashad, SCZone Chief Executive Officer Waleid Gamal El-Din, senior officials, industrial developers, and company executives.

Madbouly explained that the SCZone has become a key pillar of the national economy and a major destination for global investments, thanks to its strategic location, advanced infrastructure, and integration between ports and industrial zones, making it a hub for global supply chains.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the growing pace of industrial expansion in the SCZone reflects increasing confidence among local and international investors and affirms the success of Egypt’s integrated model for industry, trade, and logistics.

In turn, SCZone head Gamal El-Din said the projects being inaugurated highlight the diversity and strength of the zone’s industrial base, reflecting its strategy to attract quality investments that deepen local manufacturing, increase local content, and enhance value-added across production chains.

He further noted that the authority continues to attract advanced industrial projects based on modern technology and targeting regional and international markets.
