Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly met today with Badr Abdel Atty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Egyptian Expatriates, to follow up on President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to enhance cooperation with African sister countries.
At the outset of the meeting, PM emphasized the depth of historical ties with African nations and Egypt's commitment to fostering cooperation and development in various fields.
He reiterated Egypt's readiness to continue supporting sustainable development efforts in African countries to achieve the aspirations of their peoples for development, peace, and prosperity.
For his part, Abdel Atty highlighted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' efforts to implement presidential directives aimed at strengthening bilateral relations with African nations.
He pointed out the vital role played by the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development in supporting comprehensive development across the continent through training programs, capacity building, and expertise exchange in various sectors.
FM also discussed the ministry's ongoing efforts to boost trade exchange and joint investments with African countries, particularly given Egypt's membership in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and other regional economic blocs.
Abdel Atty underscored the significant role of Egyptian diplomacy, in coordination with various state institutions, in advancing Egypt's interests in Africa, in line with the directives of the President.
