Egypt's Prime Minister (PM) Moustafa Madbouly sent a congratulatory cable to President Abdel El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the 10th anniversary of the 30 June Revolution.

In the cable, the PM pledged that the government will exert more effort to continue the development path.

On June 30, 2013, millions of protesters rushed to the streets to protest against the Muslim Brotherhood-led government and then-President Mohamed Morsi.

The revolution led to the ousting of Morsi and put an end to the one-year Muslim Brotherhood ruling in what has been seen as a victory for the people’s will.

It came only two years after the 25 January Revolution in 2011, which forced late former President Hosni Mubarak to leave office after 30 years as president and paved the way for the country’s first democratic presidential elections.
