Prime Minister (PM) Mostafa Madbouly visited the House of Representatives headquarters in the New Capital today to congratulate Counselor Hesham Badawi on assuming his new position as Speaker of the House.
He was accompanied by Counselor Mahmoud Fawzy, Minister of Parliamentary and Legal Affairs and Political Communication, in the presence of Deputy Speakers Dr. Assem El-Gazzar and Dr. Mohamed El-Wahsh, Secretary-General Counselor Ahmed Manna, and Legal Advisor Counselor Mohamed Abdel Aleem Kafafi.
During the visit, Madbouly extended his sincere wishes for success to Counselor Badawi in his national mission at the helm of this prestigious legislative institution.
Moreover, he expressed his full confidence in the Counselor's ability to enrich the Council's legislative and oversight functions, drawing on his distinguished career and significant contributions to high-ranking legal and regulatory positions.
Furthermore, Madbouly expressed his pleasure in delivering these congratulations at the Parliament’s new headquarters, which is transitioning to full operations during the current legislative session.
He also emphasized his commitment to achieving the highest level of coordination between the Government and the Parliament in its new formation, aiming to build bridges of communication and full cooperation between Cabinet members and the people's representatives.
These joint efforts, he noted, are essential to realizing the vision and aspirations of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for the stability, development, and progress of the nation.
For his part, Counselor Hesham Badawi welcomed the Prime Minister, expressing his gratitude for the visit and the congratulations.
Badawi affirmed that the coming period will witness full cooperation between the Government and the House of Representatives, working toward a unified goal and a common interest for the benefit of the country and its citizens.
