Prime Minister (PM) Dr. Mostafa Madbouly attended an official dinner this evening hosted by President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, marking the opening of the “Shanghai Cooperation Organization Plus Summit,” held in Tianjin on August 31 and September 1, 2025.
In his remarks at the dinner, President Xi highlighted the challenges currently facing the international system and underlined the positive role the Shanghai Cooperation Organization can play in addressing these challenges.
A commemorative photo was also taken of the participating leaders, heads of state, and heads of government.
Dr. Madbouly is scheduled to deliver Egypt’s address tomorrow, Monday, September 1, 2025, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during the summit’s official session.
