PM, Acting Health Minister Discuss Efforts to Combat COVID-19

Egypt's Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli held a meeting on Sunday with Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Higher Education, and Acting Health Minister.

 

During the meeting, they discussed efforts to combat Coronavirus, as well as vaccines' provision.

 

It is worth mentioning that, Egypt’s Health Ministry reported on Saturday 909 new coronavirus cases, bringing the country’s total up to 336,582.

The total number of COVID-19-related deaths has now reached 190,11 nationwide after the ministry announced 62 deaths.

About 650 patients were discharged from quarantine at isolation hospitals, raising the total number of fully-recovered cases to 282,514.

Egypt plans to vaccinate 40 million citizens by the end of the year, representing around 40% of the population.
