A pilot was killed after a light aircraft crashed in the Austrian state of Salzburg, according to Austria’s APA news agency on Tuesday.
The single-engine aircraft went down while attempting to land near Zell am See Airport, Austrian police reported.
Initial investigations indicate that the pilot was the only person onboard. Emergency response teams confirmed that the plane landed in a field without catching fire.
