Some social media users criticized Macron, claiming that he is mocking Zelenskyy amid the Russian-Ukrainian war. Others applauded the seemingly candid shots of the French President doing his work.

Snaps of the French President were taken in Golden Room of the Élysée Palace in Paris where he seemed stiff at work on Sunday. Soazig De La Moissonnière, the official photographer at the Palace, released the photos on social media this morning.

Meanwhile, Zelensky has been held up as a man of the people since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 25. He visited the wounded soldiers at a military hospital and awarded the “defenders of Ukraine” with medals for their courage and wished them a speedy recovery, per the country’s government.
