The Philippines' National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council announced Thursday that the death toll from the southwest monsoon and tropical cyclones Mirasol, Nando, and Opong has risen to thirteen.
The National Council added, according to the Philippine ABS-CBN English-language broadcast, that 17 people were injured and two others were considered missing due to the severe weather conditions.
The channel noted that the recent weather fluctuations in the Philippines affected 915,827 people in 11 regions, including 22,119 currently residing in temporary shelters. The channel added that the severe weather also destroyed 219 homes and caused agricultural losses of approximately 14.85 million Philippine pesos.
