The official spokesman for the Ministry of Petroleum Hamdi Abdel Aziz confirmed that what was published on one of the website concerning Eni's withdrawal of the Santorini drilling ship from the site of the largest gas field in Egypt and stopped development work is false and completely incorrect.
The spokesman - in a statement Sunday - said that this driller was working on a well in the northeastern region of Habi in the Mediterranean Sea, and finished its work and moved from the area.
He pointed out that the drilling program in Zohr field will take place later in the last quarter of this year according to the drilling program planned with Eni through another drilling rig.
