Al Ahly star Percy Tau has been named Egyptian Premier League Player of the Week for the second time this season.
The South African international has been having a remarkable start to life in Egypt, scoring five goals in the opening six games of the Egyptian Premier League.
His most recent MOTM performance came as Al Ahly thrashed Smouha 4-1 in matchday six, with Tau getting on the scoresheet with a brace.
The first strike came after Tau toyed with Smouha defender Mahmoud Ezzat before beating El-Hany Soliman from close range while the second was more simple as he tapped in Mohamed Hany’s low cross to make it four.
His performance saw him clinch the Egyptian Premier League Player of the Week award for the second time this season, becoming the first player this season to do so.
Tau’s first time winning the award was on matchday one when he netted a brace against rivals Ismaily in the game that finished in a 4-0 victory for Al Ahly.
