Dozens of passengers were injured, including two in critical condition, after two trains collided in eastern Slovakia.
The Slovak Railways Company said, as reported by ABC News on Monday, that the accident occurred at approximately 10:00 a.m. local time near the town of Rožnava.
Slovak Interior Minister Mateš Šutay-Istok announced that two of the injured were in critical condition.
According to Slovakian police estimates, approximately 80 passengers were on board the two trains at the time of the accident. Authorities have opened an investigation into the accident to determine the cause of the collision.
