Parliamentary Elections: Tightened Security During 2nd Stage Run-offs

Security services are intensifying their presence in the vicinity of the electoral committees to secure the second day of the run-off rounds of the parliamentary elections second stage.

The security plans that have been prepared by the interior Ministry's agencies to secure the elections are based on providing a safe environment for citizens while casting their votes, through Intensified deployment of forces in the main squares and near important and vital sites nationwide.

The run-offs of the second stage is the fourth and last round of the parliamentary elections 2020, in which 200 candidates are competing for 100 seats in 13 governorates: Cairo, Qalyubia, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Sharqia, Kafr El Sheikh, Damietta, Port Said, Suez, Ismailia, South Sinai and North Sinai.

The voting process began Monday morning, and lasts until Tuesday 9:00 pm , amid strict precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.
