Parliament Speaker, Zimbabwean Counterpart Discuss bilateral relations

Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali, Speaker of the House of Representatives, received today, Sunday, in his office  Jacob Mudenda, Speaker of the Zimbabwean national assembly, and his accompanying delegation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives pointed out to the history of relations between Egypt and Zimbabwe. 

During the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives reviewed ways to strengthen relations between the two brotherly countries in all fields, especially at the parliamentary level, stressing the need for joint coordination in international and regional forums regarding issues of common concern.

Counselor Dr. Hanafi Jabali affirmed that Egypt does not oppose the Ethiopian people's right to development, but seeks a legal and binding agreement regarding the filling and operation of the Ethiopian Dam to preserve Egypt's historical rights to the Nile waters.

 For his part, Jacob Mudenda, expressed appreciation for the warm reception during his current visit to Egypt, stressing the historical relations between Egypt and Zimbabwe,  praising the achievements made by the Egyptian state in terms of infrastructure in the field of renewable energy.
