The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced the elimination of paper passport cards for Egyptian passengers at all terminals of Cairo International Airport, effective Saturday, April 11, 2026.
This step confirms the ongoing efforts to develop the travel system, contributing to reduced processing times, smoother passenger flow, and increased operational efficiency in accordance with the latest international standards.
Dr. Sameh El-Hefny, Minister of Civil Aviation, emphasized that this measure reflects a clear governmental commitment to improving services for passengers and enhancing airport performance, keeping pace with global developments in the air transport industry.
The Minister indicated that the system will be gradually implemented at other Egyptian airports in the coming phase. He expressed his gratitude to all relevant security agencies, praising their efforts and fruitful coordination and cooperation, which were instrumental in the success of this measure.
