An American family caused panic at Israel's main airport on Thursday after security inspectors found with them an unexploded shell they had packed for their return flight, authorities said.
A video showed panicked passengers lying on the floor of the departure hall at Ben Gurion Airport. The airport authority said a man was taken to hospital with injuries after trying to flee on a luggage trolley.

The family was allowed to board the plane after being questioned by security personnel, who declared they found it while visiting the Golan Heights, and decided to bring it back home as a sovonier.
It is noteworthy that a war broke out between Israel and Syria over the Golan during the 1967 and 1973 wars.
