Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will chair an urgent meeting this evening to discuss the Israeli aggression on the city of Jenin, The official Palestine TV confirmed on Monday.

Sources announced that the death toll in Jenin has risen to 9 Palestinians as a result of the Israeli raids on the city.

Egypt strongly condemned on Monday, the attack carried out by Israeli forces on Jenin city in the occupied West Bank, which resulted in 5 victims and 27 injured among the Palestinian people.

In a statment, Foreign Ministry affirmed Egypt's complete rejection of the attacks and the repeated Israeli incursions against Palestinian cities, and the flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international legitimacy, especially international humanitarian law that imposes clear and specific obligations on Israel as the occupying power.

Furthermore, Egypt warned of the serious dangers of the ongoing Israeli escalation against the Palestinians, which leads to fueling tensions, exacerbating the suffering of the Palestinian people, and undermining the efforts made by Egypt and its regional and international partners to reduce tension in the occupied territories.

Moreover, Egypt called on the international actors and influencers to intervene to put an end to these violations and to provide protection for the Palestinian people, whose suffering is increasing day by day.
