Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas received an official invitation from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to participate in the inauguration of Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM).
Abbas received the official invitation today, Sunday, at the Presidential Headquarters in Ramallah. It was delivered by the Egyptian Ambassador Ihab Suleiman, according to the official Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
He welcomed President Sisi's kind invitation, confirming his keenness to accept it and share this important occasion for Egypt and its ancient history with the great Egyptian people.
The Palestinian President conveyed his greetings and great appreciation to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi through the Egyptian Ambassador.
He also expressed his and the Palestinian people's thanks for the significant efforts exerted by Egypt, under the leadership of President El-Sisi, to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza Strip, halt the aggression against the Palestinian people, prevent displacement, and support the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and in their homeland.
He further praised President Sisi's substantial efforts toward the great renaissance achieved by the Arab Republic of Egypt in all fields, and the prominent global status it has attained.
