Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas granted Thursday the Grand Star of the Order of Culture, Science and Arts to Egyptian actor and Head of the Actors’ Syndicate Ashraf Zaki.
The medal was given to Zaki in recognition of his extensive acting career and great role in the enhancement of culture and art.
The veteran was also honored for his patriotic stances and advocate to the Palestinian cause as well as in appreciation for his role as Head of the Actors’ Syndicate.
Zaki's wife, actress Rogena and his daughter had attended the honoring.

Abbas also awarded prominent actress, Sabrien, with the same medal in recognition of her distinguished and rich artistic career.
The actress was also honored for her supportive stances in national and patriotic issues, as well as her advocacy of Palestinian rights.
