Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas met on Wednesday in Paris with President of the French National Assembly Yaëlle Braun-Pivet to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, particularly after France's recognition of the State of Palestine, as well as the latest political developments and the situation in Palestine.
During the meeting, Abbas stressed, according to the Palestinian News Agency “WAFA”, the need to strengthen the relations between the two friendly peoples, and to exert more efforts to mobilize international support to end the war in the Gaza Strip, stop everything that undermines the two-state solution, and establish the foundations of lasting peace in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy.
