Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas arrived in Cairo, on Wednesday, for an official visit.
Abbas was welcomed in the presidents' hall at Cairo International Airport by Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, a delegation from the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Egypt's Ambassador to Palestine Tareq Tayel, and Palestinian Ambassador to Cairo Diab al-Louh.
He was accompanied by Riad Malki, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Hussein Al-Sheikh, Minister of Civil Affairs and Fatah Central Committee member, Majdi Khaldi, Diplomatic Advisor to Abbas, and Majed Faraj, Palestinian Authority General Intelligence Services chief.
This visit comes days after Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh announced the holding of a tripartite summit in Cairo between Jordan, Egypt and Palestine.
