Today, Wednesday, the Palestinian presidency welcomed the end of Israel’s “aggression” in Lebanon after a ceasefire came into force on Wednesday between Israel and Hezbollah.
The Palestinian presidency stressed in its statement, “We hope that this step will contribute to stopping the violence and instability that the region is suffering from as a result of Israeli policies that are leading the region to a comprehensive explosion,” stressing the necessity of accelerating the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 2735 regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, preventing the displacement of the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip, and enabling the State of Palestine to assume its full responsibilities there.
