During a phone call on Wednesday, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and the European Commissioner for the Mediterranean, Dubravka Suica, discussed the latest developments in the Palestinian territories in light of escalating settler attacks in the West Bank and the deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.
Both sides emphasized the importance of joint action to achieve stability in the Palestinian territories and to push toward a comprehensive and just political solution, leading to the establishment of an independent and unified Palestinian state in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions.
For her part, Suica expressed her concern over the continued expansion of Israeli settlements and the worsening economic and humanitarian conditions in the Palestinian territories.
Moreover, she underscored the importance of intensifying international efforts to contain the escalation and support stability in the region, according to the Palestinian news agency (WAFA).
