The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the world has failed Palestinian children and remained silent in defending them and confronting the brutal Israeli occupation. Palestinian children face the most serious violations and crimes.
In a statement marking Palestinian Children's Day, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the colonial occupation has robbed children of their childhood and prevented them from exercising their most basic legal rights, like children around the world.
According to UN reports, 15 children in the Gaza Strip suffer permanent disabilities every day as a result of the Israeli occupation forces' use of internationally banned explosive weapons.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that these children face a double catastrophe due to physical and psychological disabilities, the collapse of the health system resulting from the deliberate destruction of hospitals, the targeting of medical personnel, and the denial of entry of medical supplies and prosthetic limbs.
