The Palestinian Ambassador in Cairo Diab Al-Louh thanked the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and all relevant authorities, including the Egyptian Ministry of Health and its medical teams for opening their hospitals to receive the injured from the Gaza Strip.

“I highly appreciate the Egyptian role in standing by the Palestinian people and working to save the lives of the wounded in the Gaza Strip, and their efforts in facilitating the entry of the wounded from the brutal Israeli aggression so that they recover and return to the homeland in peace,” Al-Louh said.

Diab announced the formation of a committee to receive the wounded from the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which is taking place over the past few days.

"The Palestinian embassy continues to coordinate with the Egyptian Ministry of Health and the relevant authorities to start transporting and treating the wounded from Gaza, confirming the embassy’s keenness to serve its wounded and their companions in Egypt until their condition stabilizes and they return to their homeland."

Meantime, the Egyptian Red Crescent sent the first batch of humanitarian aid to the association's branch in North Sinai to support the victims of the ongoing events in Palestine. "The state of readiness for emergency services has been raised, and medical, psychological and relief aid is provided, ready to support the Palestinian people," the red crescent said in statement.
