On Tuesday, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan expressed their unwavering support for Egypt and firmly condemned the recent remarks made by the Israeli Prime Minister.

In  statements, the Arab nations accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of attempting to divert public attention and hinder collaborative mediation efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, as well as facilitating the exchange of hostages and detainees.

On Monday, Netanyahu asserted—without presenting any evidence—that Hamas acquires weapons via the Egypt-Gaza border, thereby criticizing the security situation in that area. In an effort to rationalize Israel's unlawful presence in the Philadelphi corridor, he claimed that this route functions as "Hamas’s pipeline for oxygen and rearmament."

The Palestinian Presidency, in a statement, acknowledged Egypt's crucial role in opposing the displacement of the Palestinian populace from their homeland. Palestine reiterated that the Palestinian-Egyptian borders are sovereign and rejected any Israeli military presence in the Philadelphi Corridor or at the Rafah border crossing. The statement commended Egypt's ongoing endeavors to foster security and stability in the region.

Moreover, Palestine expressed gratitude for the efforts of Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan in striving for a ceasefire, halting Israeli aggression in Gaza, and preventing the displacement of Palestinians from both the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

Additionally, the Saudi foreign ministry indicated that these Israeli assertions are attempts to legitimize ongoing violations of international law. The ministry cautioned against such inflammatory statements and their detrimental effects, advocating for an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.

It also called for collective international efforts to empower the Palestinian populace in establishing an independent state based on the borders of June 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
