Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif welcomed the announcement of a long-awaited ceasefire in Palestine, expressing appreciation for the diplomatic efforts led by Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Egypt, and other international partners.

In a statement shared via social media, Pakistani PM underscored the urgency of restoring humanitarian assistance to Gaza and other war-affected areas.

He emphasized the need for all parties to honor the ceasefire agreement in both letter and spirit, highlighting Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Sharif paid tribute to the sacrifices of countless innocent victims of Israeli aggression over the years.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s stance, he called for a two-state solution aligned with UN resolutions, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Jerusalem (Al-Quds) as its capital.

This statement reflects Pakistan’s enduring commitment to peace and justice in the region while urging the international community to take concrete steps toward a sustainable resolution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
