Pakistani Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif today, Monday, urged all parties in the Middle East to exercise restraint following the recent escalation of violence between Iran and Israel.
In a post on the "X" social media platform, cited by Radio Pakistan, Sharif stated: "The recent escalation of violence in the Middle East is a powerful reminder of the risks associated with a fragile ceasefire and the potentially unsustainable consequences that could follow."
Sharif added: "As we work painstakingly, alongside our brothers and partners, to find a peaceful diplomatic solution to the conflict—especially as we draw closer to achieving the ultimate goal—we sincerely urge all parties to exercise restraint and give peace a greater chance."
"Let us keep pursuing the path of peace and diplomacy, which holds a greater prospect of success, rather than violence and destruction," Pakistani PM continued.
