Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan has publicly endorsed the Arab League's recent approval of a plan spearheaded by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi for the reconstruction of Gaza.

In a statement released earlier today, Prime Minister Sharif expressed his approval of the Arab League's decision, which also strongly opposes any proposals to displace Palestinians from their homeland.

The plan, initially proposed by President Al-Sisi, aims to rebuild the war-torn region of Gaza and has received backing from various Arab nations as a necessary step towards stability and recovery. The Arab League’s firm stance against the displacement of Palestinians underscores a unified regional commitment to Palestinian rights and statehood.

Further extending his support, Prime Minister Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s call for the United Nations to enforce its resolutions that advocate for a two-state solution. He emphasized the importance of establishing a viable and sovereign State of Palestine, with borders defined as they were in 1967 and Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.

This advocacy from Pakistan comes at a crucial time when international focus on the Palestinian issue intensifies amidst ongoing conflicts and peace negotiations. The call aligns with Pakistan's long-standing policy of supporting Palestinian sovereignty and its historical stance against territorial encroachments.

The endorsement by the Arab League and the reinforcement from Pakistan highlight the growing international solidarity with the Palestinian cause and the urgent need for actionable steps towards peace and reconstruction in the region.
