Pakistani Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi discussed the current regional situation, mediation efforts, and a number of issues of mutual interest with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during their meeting in Tehran on Sunday.
According to the English version of Pakistan's "Samaa TV" network, both sides reviewed ways to enhance cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
Meanwhile, Iranian media reported that during his meeting with Araghchi, Naqvi conveyed a special message from Pakistan to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
Naqvi had previously stated that he is currently visiting Tehran to deliver special messages from Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistani Army Chief Asim Munir to the Iranian Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.
This visit comes as Pakistan intensifies its diplomatic efforts aimed at helping revive negotiations between the United States and Iran amid escalating regional tensions.
The visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic communication between Islamabad and Tehran at a time when regional stability remains a primary concern for both nations.
