Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned what he described as a “cowardly and treacherous” attack by India on five locations within Pakistan, calling it an unprovoked act of aggression and a declaration of war.

In an official statement issued on Thursday, Prime Minister Sharif declared that Pakistan reserves the full right to respond decisively to this hostile act, emphasizing that a “befitting reply is already underway.”

“The cunning enemy has carried out a cowardly attack on five places in Pakistan,” the Prime Minister said. “Pakistan has every right to give a befitting reply to this act of war imposed by India—and a resolute response is being given.”

The Prime Minister assured the public that the nation stands united behind the Pakistani Armed Forces.

“The morale and spirit of the entire Pakistani nation is high,” he said. “Our people and our armed forces know how to deal with the enemy very well.”

He emphasized that the enemy will never succeed in achieving its “malicious objectives” and vowed that such aggression would not go unpunished.

“This heinous act of aggression will not go unpunished,” he added. “The people of Pakistan and its forces are fully prepared to confront and defeat any threat with our strength and determination.”

Prime Minister Sharif also extended prayers and solidarity to the officers and soldiers of the armed forces, reaffirming the government's unwavering support for national defense.
