Pakistan to Host OIC Women’s Ministerial Conference on Gender Equality

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) announced that the 9th Ministerial Conference on Women will be held in Pakistan on July 12–13, 2026, bringing together ministers, senior officials and policymakers to advance women’s empowerment across OIC member states.

The conference, organized by the OIC General Secretariat in cooperation with Pakistan, will focus on strengthening policies that promote gender equality, expand opportunities for women and support sustainable development.

According to the OIC, the high-level gathering will provide a platform for participants to exchange experiences, develop practical strategies and reinforce international cooperation on issues affecting women.

The General Secretariat said the conference reflects the organization’s continued commitment to creating an enabling environment for women’s participation in development and decision-making, while encouraging inclusive policies that contribute to long-term social and economic progress.
