Pakistan and Iran have intensified diplomatic contacts amid the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, with senior officials holding talks in Tehran focused on regional security and efforts to prevent further escalation.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, in the Iranian capital late on Saturday to discuss developments related to the conflict and broader regional stability, according to official statements.

During the visit, Naqvi delivered a message from Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei regarding the current situation.

The meeting followed an earlier encounter between the two interior ministers in Kyrgyzstan on June 5, where they discussed Pakistan-Iran relations and the latest regional developments. According to reports, both sides stressed the importance of continuing diplomatic efforts aimed at securing lasting peace in the region.

Naqvi's latest trip comes amid a surge in diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Tehran this year. The Pakistani interior minister has made several official visits to Iran since April, including a visit alongside Army Chief Asim Munir, followed by additional trips in late May and early June.

The increased exchanges highlight efforts by both neighboring countries to maintain close coordination as regional tensions continue to rise and concerns grow over the potential spillover effects of the conflict.

Officials from both countries have repeatedly emphasized dialogue and diplomacy as the preferred path toward reducing tensions and preserving stability across the wider region.
