Designer Mai Kandil Presents Dazzling PJs, Coats Designs for Winter

Pajamas have an important role in the elegance inside the home, especially in the winter season.

The coronavirus made the pajamas become everybody’s friend, even international stars were seen donning them with confidence on social media.

Pop icon Madonna and her children appeared in a family photo in their pajamas as well as the Lebanese-Colombian superstar Shakira and her husband, football star Gerard Pique and their two children were seen in plaid pajamas.

Talented Egyptian fashion designer, Mai Kandil has made her signature since debuting her first home wear collection.

*Egyptian cotton

Egypt is famous for its wonderful cotton, a fiber quite known for being comfortable on the skin and the body.

As for Kandil, she is famous for being diligent and striving to achieve the best in everything that is connected to her work.

“I searched a lot until I reached the best factories that process raw cotton and provide fabric with international standard in terms of quality, softness, and color stability that compete with the global product,” she said.

The designer noted that the global market is racing for the Egyptian factory that produces fabrics.

*Designs

The designs created by Kandil were characterized by simplicity, smoothness, and softness at the same time.

She designed a pure Egyptian-made pajama called “Antica cotton” out of her pride for ancient Egypt.

The designer also presented a white shirt, which is a color associated with summer.

She affirms that the designers worldwide have a desire to inspire a spirit of optimism among consumers and noted she chose to support this spirit to face the gloomy atmosphere of Coronavirus.

The shirt is suitable for both indoors and outdoors.

*Outstanding details

The collection is distinguished by the splendor of the details and the elegance of the cuts.

Kandil carefully chooses the buttons and the degree of the thread that she uses for her designs.

She also presented the flower lace patchwork, which is characteristic of high elegance and quality and gives the homeware or loungewear elegance.

*Plaid is the way to go

The collection featured colors and calm prints, which is dominated by the plaid designs, perhaps because it offers a state of joy and happiness.

The plaid patterns varied between the small, medium, and large. All the patterns were splendid but perhaps the large pattern is more suitable for slim inpiduals.

**Coats

The designer presented a very elegant collection of short coats, suitable for different times of the year and most importantly, are suitable for wearing indoors and outdoors.

Kandil also offered a new piece in the collection that is added to her list of attractive designs that are admired and were worn by celebrities such as Ruby, Nahed El Sebaï and her mother Naheed Farid Shawky.

The designer also shared why she has yet to export her designs, noting that she was only now thinking about the Egyptian market and the Egyptian consumer.

Kandil added that she seeks a goal, which is to offer an Egyptian product with international standards instead of buying clothes from abroad.

“There are customers who appreciate it and seek to buy the distinctive Egyptian product. This makes me happy and is a reward for the hard work and long hours,” she commented.
